Test Results at AMD Tuning Essex 11/02/14 – Test vehicle fitted with AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler and dyno’d with standard map, then Stage 1 remap.
Standard map with AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler upgrade:
Run 1 – Intake temperature 115 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 13 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Run 2– Intake temperature 118 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 18 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Run 3 – Intake temperature 119 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 18 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Conclusion: Over the three test runs the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler cooled down the charged air temperature by an average of 101 degrees.
Stage 1map with AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler upgrade:
Run 1 – Intake temperature 128 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 19 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Run 2– Intake temperature 128 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 23 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Run 3 – Intake temperature 136 degrees (charge air temp going into intercooler) & 25 degrees outlet temperature (charge air temp coming out of intercooler)
Conclusion: Over the test runs the AIRTEC intercooler cooled down the charged Air Temperature by an average of 108 degrees.
